ePEARL--electronic portfolio encouraging active reflective learning

I found ePEARL as a link on the Remote Access blog today. I haven't figured out yet if it's truly available for everyone or if it's only free for Canadians. I do know that our Family and Consumer Science teachers are supposed to have students maintain a career portfolio over the course of their middle school years and at least the one in my building is concerned about students losing their materials from year to year. This would be a great solution. It would also be useful for teachers to use as they enter the district and want to show growth as a teacher. Lots of interesting ways this could be used. I need to do more checking on it.
